pretty solider

for love and justice, i am the pretty sailor-suited soldier sailor moon! i'm mary and i'm utterly obsessed with naoko takeuchi's bishoujo senshi sailor moon. kawaii tsubasa in japanese means cute wings. i've been collecting for over 10 years and still going strong. i love online shopping more than i should. i've acquired most of my collection last summer. my favorite character is makoto kino/sailor jupiter because we equally share a love of baking, the color green, and kicking ass. I love Japanese culture and have always been fascinated with their traditions. i'm most peaceful under the moonlight with the twinkling stars. want to know more?

Welcome to Kawaii Tsubasa, my dedicated collection of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon merchandise. Kawaii Tsubasa in Japanese means "cute wings", which I believe protrays Sailor Moon perfectly. Here you'll find my ever-growing collection of merchandise, as well as graphics, and an online shop. I'm an avid collector and hope that I can bring joy to other moonies. Please feel free to contact me: here.

This is the first official post on Kawaii Tsubasa. Excited much? Where to begin? Well, my collection began many moons ago back in `99. Let's see, day one of my discovery of Sailor Moon was when it all happened. Of course it was the dub but what's a 6 year old to do? I was sitting in my family room flipping channels looking for the Power Puff Girls and low and behold, fourteen-year-old Usagi Tsukino is trying to lose weight, episode #4. An hour later I was running through my house wearing a ballet leotard, snow boots, pig tails, and a big bow pinned to my chest. Yes, you can call it love at first sight. That very day I went to the mall and purchased my very first Sailor Moon item, a tee shirt and the prism locket. And that's when it all began...

I regret some things, like in 2002 when I began to think that Sailor Moon was just a lame childish show. I stopped collecting, stopped watching, stopped loving. I ended my moonie fancraze. Sadly, who knew the next time I'd find my way back into the fandom would be six years later in 2008. I picked Naoko's Artbook II (which I had in perfect condition from when I acquired it back in the day) and I was amazed at how beautiful and detailed her work was. This was something I hadn't noticed when I was so young. I began to sketch a lovely image of Usagi. I then had my father buy me the entire series on DVD so that I could get back into it.

That summer started something that I wouldn't forget, a look into the past and a reconnection with my first love. Sailor Moon was the first ever anime I had ever gotten into and truly fell in love with. Ebay became my best friend that summer and after some careful planning I was able to get some of the best items on the market. I bought most of rpg's and manga with birthday money that I had recieved. I learned that it didn't matter what others thought of Sailor Moon, I was going to like it because it was what I wanted. So, as the story goes, I kept on collecting. That summer, I searched for my old toys, I bought new ones, and a collection was formed.

Today, my collection has grown to a size I never though imagineable. I may only be fifteen but I'm working hard to get every item I can get my hands on. I'm envious of other's collections and I believe that is what strives me to find more items out there and get my keester on sera sell and eBay. I don't think I'm crazy, I think I'm fortunate. Sailor Moon is a huge franchise full of cutie moon rods and star lockets. I'm ready to take on whatever comes my way. As Usagi would say, "Tsukini Kawatte Oshioki Yo!"
